Da bus

I’ve now ridden on top of an electric bus. At a snail’s pace and for a snail’s distance, true, but definitely up where nobody but a stowaway (and a damned brave one at that) would be found under normal circumstances.

This happened on Monday while half a dozen Proterra employees and I were in Seneca shooting a training video for drivers of the B35 EcoRide. Our focus was the charging process, which requires the bus to pull under a large white cowl that lowers a charging head into a slot on the roof. With camera on tripod on moving bus, I managed an ersatz dolly/zoom (a.k.a. “trombone shot”, a.k.a. “Vertigo shot”), all but 2 seconds of which is destined for the cutting room floor. Coolness, nevertheless.
