Audition day

SCRC owners Hank and Pat Haskell attended the audition that I set up yesterday with artistic director Blake White for this afternoon, which means that I’ve run my flag about as far up the flagpole as it will go. That’s the good news. The bad news is that if anybody saluted, they did so too subtley for me to tell, but maybe the phone will ring later.

Tonight I’ll sit in on The Pavillion one last time, then probably hit the road in the morning. On the other hand, it’s supposed to be 60 degrees here tomorrow. Perfect weather to spend a few hours with Lily Bart by the sea.
